Commanding Officer
CAPT Vince Libasci is a native of Melbourne, FL. He joined the Navy in 1994 and earned his commission in 2001 after graduating from Old Dominion University.
CAPT Libasci completed eight deployments to U.S. 5th and 6th Fleets. His sea duty assignments include 1st Division Officer, then 1st LT, USS ASHLAND (LSD-48), Navigator, USS
NORMANDY (CG-60), Operations Officer, USS MAHAN (DDG-72), N3, COMDESRON TWENTY TWO (GHWB), and Executive/Commanding Officer, USS COLE (DDG-67).
CAPT Libasci’s shore assignments include: Engineering and Weapons Instructor Ohio State University NROTC where he completed and IA deployment to Al Asad, Iraq in support of 3rd
Marine Air Wing, Officer-in-Charge of Atlantic Sealift Operational Support Element, Flag Aide to COMNAVSURFLANT then COMSIXTHFLT, and as Joint Warfighting Design 2040 Team Lead then
Chief of Ops and Plans at the Joint Staff J-7 Joint Warfighting Development Directorate. He is a graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff and Joint Forces Staff Colleges, and Chief
of Staff at Expeditionary Strike Group TWO.
