USLHT Warrington

Lighthouse Tender:

  • Built in 1868 as Henry Warrington by J. M. Jones Shipyard, Detroit, Michigan
  • Purchased by the Lighthouse Board in January 1870
  • Commissioned USLHT Warrington in 1871
  • Decommissioned in 1910
  • Sold in 1910 to the Hines Lumber Company of Chicago, IL
  • Ran aground 21 August 1911 during a storm near Charlevoix, Michigan and after being pounded by the storm-driven waves, was considered a complete loss.
