  • Acquired by the Navy 14 July 1917
  • Commissioned USS Utowana (SP 951), 30 October 1917
  • Renamed Victorine in 1918
  • Decommissioned 11 September 1919
  • Sold 13 September 1920 to the Denton-Shore Lumber Co. of Tampa, FL for $36,000
  • Fate unknown.

  • Draft 15' 6"
  • Speed 12 kts.

  • Armament: Two 3"/50 mounts and two machine guns
  • Propulsion: Two Almy boilers, one 600hp verticle triple-expansion steam engine, one shaft.

    Utowana 98k Halftone reproduction of a photograph probably taken just before her World War I Naval service, after she had been converted from a yacht to a trawler in 1917. The "C" on her funnel refers to her owner the Commonwealth Fisheries Company of Boston.
