  • Laid down 27 October 1942 as PC-1281 by the Elizabeth City Shipyards, Elizabeth City, NC
  • Launched 6 February 1943Reclassified SC-1281 in April 1943
  • Commissioned USS SC-1281, 3 May 1943
  • Reclassified as a Control Submarine Chaser, SCC-1281, 20 August 1945
  • Struck from the Naval Register 20 March 1946
  • Transferred to the Maritime Commission 6 December 1946
  • Fate unknown.

  • Armament: One 40mm gun mount, one/two twin .50 cal. machine guns, two/three depth charge projector "K Guns", 14 depth charges with six single release chocks and two sets Mk 20 Mousetrap rails
    with four 7.2 projectiles
  • Propulsion: Two 800bhp General Motors 8-268A diesel engines, Snow and Knobstedt single reduction gear, two shafts.
