  • Reclassified SC-405 after the original SC-405 which was being transferred to France was damaged during trial runs
  • This hull was exchanged with SC-405 and delivered to France and reclassified C-84
  • SC-405 was then reclassified SC-177
  • Commissioned USS SC-405, 31 October 1917
  • Sold 21 November 1921 to E. G. Carey of Baltimore, MD
  • Registered in 1933 to Philip Nicastro of Gloucester, MA as the Cod fishing boat Serafina N
  • Fate unknown.
