  • Launched, 12 October 1945
  • Commissioned, USS ATR-132, 30 January 1945, LTjg. Russell C. Schulke, USNR in command
  • Redesignated Auxiliary Ocean Tug ATA-205 in 1945
  • During World War II USS ATA-205 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater
  • Following World War II USS ATA-205 was assigned to Occupation service in the Far East from 2 September 1945 to 20 February 1946
  • Decommissioned in January 1947 and laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet, Columbia River Group, Astoria
  • Named Sciota (ATA-205), 16 June 1948
  • Temporary custody to the Maritime Administration (MARAD) for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Olympia WA., 9 November 1960, Navy ownership retained
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 1 September 1962
  • Permanent custody transferred to MARAD, 1 September 1962
  • Temporary custody to the US Navy for the SOAP Program, 27 March to 11 May 1971
