  • Decommissioned, 8 January 1945, at Maryland Dry Dock Co., Baltimore, MD.
  • Converted to an Aristaeus Class Battle Damage Repair Ship
  • Recommissioned, USS Ulysses (ARB-9) 20 April 1945, LT. James L. Johnstone, USNR, in command
  • During World War II USS Ulysses was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater
