  • Launched, 16 September 1942
  • Commissioned USS APc-48, 21 April 1943, LTjg. Dwight D. Currie USNR in command
  • During World War II USS APc-48 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater:
    APc Flotilla Five, LT. D. V. Horsburgh USNR;
    APc Group Fifteen;
    APc Division Twenty-Nine
  • Decommissioned, 1 April 1946, at San Francisco, CA.
  • Struck from the Naval Register, date unknown
  • Transferred to the Maritime Administration (MARAD) in 1947
  • Sold in 1948 by William S. Cody & Kimball Allen, of San Francisco CA. for use as a fishing boat, named FV Allen Cody
  • Withdrawn from the Reserve Fleet, 17 December 1947
  • Acquired in 1954 by Hermann G. Foland of Eureka, CA. for use as a freighter
  • Acquired in 1956 by Gilbert A. Hunter of Bayside, CA.
  • Acquired in 1967 by Hunters Offshore Enterprises, Inc. of Empire, OR. for use as a whaling vessel
  • Converted to fishing trawlers for the Eureka Fisheries. Hunter Enterprises in the 1970s
  • Acquired in 2007 to Woody Murphy of Humboldt Bay Forest Products of Humboldt Bay, CA. who intended to create a historic maritime exhibit
  • Sank at a dock in Humboldt Bay, 20 September 2008
  • Salvaged and registered by Stanwood A. Murphy of Fortuna, CA. for use as a yacht
  • Final Disposition, fate undetermined
