Camano Class Light Cargo Ship:
  • Laid down in 1944 for the US Army as FS-276 (design 381), at Wheeler Shipbuilding Brooklyn, N.Y.
  • Launched in 1944
  • Delivered to the US Army Quartermasters Corp, 16 June 1944
  • Assigned to the US Army Transportation Corp.
  • US Coast Guard manned USAV FS-276 was commissioned, 13 November 1944 at New York, LT. Antonio N.S. Santa Cruz, USCGR in command
  • USAV FS-276 departed New York, 5 December 1944, for the Southwest Pacific Area where she served
  • Decommissioned, 1 July 1950, and turned over to the US Navy Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS), designated USNS T-AKL-22
  • Struck from the Naval Register in 1961
  • Final Disposition, fate unknown
