  • Wapello earned one battle star for World War II service
    1. Many sources, including the previous Navsource entry for this vessel, mistakenly say this tug was sunk in the Panama Canal as Gorgona II. The tug actually sunk in the Canal appears to have been the former Kiasutha (YTB-463.
