Mariveles served the Navies of Spain and the United States
Gunboat:

  • The first Mariveles was built in 1886 for the Spanish Navy by Hong Kong and Whampoa Dock Co., Hong Kong, British Crown Colony
  • Acquired by the Navy 2 May 1899
  • Commissioned USS Mariveles 17 June 1899 at Cavite, Philippines
  • Decommissioned in March 1900 at Cavite
  • Recommissioned 16 August 1900
  • Decommissioned 22 August 1900 at Cavite
  • Recommissioned 1 May 1901
  • Decommissioned 8 August 1901 at Cavite
  • Struck from the Navy list 8 June 1908
  • Sold 2 January 1909
  • Fate unknown.

  • Armament: One 3-pounder, two 1-pounders and two Colt machine guns
