Admirable Class Minesweeper:

  • Changed from AMc-114 to AM-137, 21 February 1942
  • Laid down 8 April 1942 at Tampa Shipbuilding Co. Inc., Tampa, FL
  • Launched 18 October 1942
  • Commissioned USS Adopt (AM 137), 31 May 1943
  • Decommissioned 19 July 1945, transferred to the Soviet Union under terms of the lend-lease plan and reclassified T-552
  • Assigned to the Pacific Fleet August 1945
  • Reclassified by U.S. Navy as a Fleet Minesweeper (Steel Hull), MSF-137, 7 February 1955
  • Converted to a dispatch vessel 1 September 1955
  • Reclassified as a receiving ship, BRN-10, 27 February 1956
  • Struck from the Naval Register 1 January 1958
  • Scrapped 28 March 1960.
