  • Laid down, 7 May 1944, as a Maritime Commission type (T1-M-A2) tanker hull, under Maritime Commission contract (MC hull 1798), at East Coast Shipyards Inc., Bayonne, N.J.
  • Launched, date unknown
  • Acquired by the Navy from the Maritime Commission, 31 August 1944
  • Commissioned USS Ogeechee (AOG-35), 6 September 1944, LT. William E. Peterson, USCGR, in command
  • During World War II USS Ogeechee was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater
  • Decommissioned, 18 February 1946
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 12 March 1946
  • Transferred to the Maritime Commission, date unknown, for disposal
  • Final Disposition, Sold for scrapping to NASSCO, 7 February 1964 (PD-X-657) for $12,290.55. Removed 2 March 1964

    09203501    		 99k USS Ogeechee (AOG-35 at anchor in Finger Bay, Alaska, 13 April 1945. Ogeechee is still in camouflage 32/8AO and was damaged by a fired at the pier scorching her paint.
